BCSB Beamlines at the Advanced Light Source

The ALS synchrotron supports over forty beamlines used for various experiments in hard and soft x-ray science. The BCSB operates and maintains five of those beamlines for macromolecular crystallography: 5.0.1, 5.0.2, 5.0.3, 8.2.1 and 8.2.2. Beamlines 5.0.1, 5.0.2 and 5.0.3 are off a wiggler source, and are funded through PRT memberships and an NIH grant. Beamlines 8.2.1 and 8.2.2 are funded by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. All beamlines are equipped with robotic automounters and are remote accessible.
