BCSB Beamlines at the Advanced Light Source
The ALS synchrotron supports over forty beamlines used for various experiments in hard and soft x-ray science. The BCSB operates and maintains six of those beamlines for macromolecular crystallography: 2.0.1, 5.0.1, 5.0.2, 5.0.3, 8.2.1 and 8.2.2. Beamlines 5.0.1, 5.0.2 and 5.0.3 are off a wiggler source, and are funded through PRT memberships and an NIH grant. Beamlines 8.2.1 and 8.2.2 are funded by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. BCSB is commissioning a new undulator-based macromolecular crystallography beamline 2.0.1. All beamlines are equipped with robotic automounters and are remote accessible.
